Bronze Medallion and Emergency First Aid
In this Lifesaving Society certification course, candidates will gain an understanding of lifesaving principles in water rescue. Candidates do a 500m endurance timed swim, learn tows, rescues involving conscious victims and stroke efficiency.
Prerequisites
Participants must have Bronze Star or be 13 years old by the exam date to register. They must also have good stroke mechanics and swimming fitness. This course includes the Emergency First Aid certification. The Canadian Lifesaving Manual is also included in the cost of the course.

Bronze Cross
This Lifesaving Society certification course is designed for lifesavers who want the challenge of more advanced training. This award is also a prerequisite for all advanced lifesaving training programs including the National Lifeguard Service award and Instructor certifications. A Canadian Lifesaving Manual is required for the course and can be purchased in person at the Membership Services Counter.
Prerequisites
Bronze Medallion and Emergency First Aid. Please bring proof of Bronze Medallion to the first class. Please note: This course does not Include Standard First Aid.
